Dr. Amy R. Stone
Dr. Amy R. Stone received her M.D. from the University of Florida School of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. She interned at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, and completed a residency in neurology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She then completed a neuromuscular disease fellowship and EMG training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. During this fellowship, Dr. Stone received extensive training in the use of botulinum toxin for neurologic conditions.
Dr. Stone entered private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2000. She joined the Neurology Center of Fairfax in 2002. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and she is board certified by the American Board of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Stone has a special interest in nerve and muscle disorders, EMG and movement disorders, and Botulinum Toxin therapy - including its use in the treatment of chronic migraine headache per recent FDA approval.
Dr. Stone has been awarded Top Doctor in neurology by both the Washingtonian magazine and Northern Virginia magazine.
