Dr. Mark C. TeKrony
Dr. Mark C. TeKrony earned his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Piscataway, New Jersey and simultaneously earned his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. He interned at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey and completed a residency in neurology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he served as chief resident. Dr. TeKrony then completed a neuromuscular/electromyography (EMG) fellowship at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. TeKrony entered private practice at the Neurology Center of Fairfax in 2004. He is board certified in Neurology and has additional certification in Neuromuscular Medicine through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Dr. TeKrony has a special interest in nerve and muscle disorders, electromyography (EMG), neck and back pain, and Botulinum Toxin therapy – including the treatment of spasticity, dystonia, blepharospasm and chronic migraine headaches (as recently approved by the FDA).
