Dr. Robert Richard
Dr. Robert Richard received his B.S., summa cum laude, in 1987 from the University of Denver and his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1997. He interned at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston and completed his residency at Georgetown University, during which time he was the chief neurology resident at the Virginia Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases (his area of special interest, along with electro diagnostic testing) at the George Washington University School of Medicine in 1995 - 1996. Dr. Richard is now in the full-time practice of neurology.
Dr. Richard joined the Neurology Center of Fairfax's office in Reston, Virginia in 1996. Dr. Richard served as chair of the Neurology Section at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital from 2001 to 2003. He has a special interest in headache, epilepsy, and neuromuscular diseases.
